made as a small tabernacle, this stool supports an ongoing technical exploration of functional negative space as sacred space. With wood, a material commonly known for endurance and stature, ever-present as a commodity in our world, it is remarkably pliable and forgiving to the hand worker.        Beyond its life-sustaining and warmth-providing features, wood remains a rare material in our universe. The more cause for the creation and use of our stool, to make obvious the great reminder that nature is life and life is sacred.
